Surely you know by now that the full-length “Super 8” trailer premiered last week, alongside a new official poster, which you can see past the jump. Frankly, we’re just a little bit obsessed with it, endlessly pressing play over and over and over again in an attempt to analyze every single frame the trailer has to offer. If it wasn't official before, it is now: "Super 8" is giving us goosebumps.
And why is that, exactly? Simple – it's because it makes us feel like we’re seven years old all over again. The trailer (or is it that Amblin logo?) triggers an almost Pavlovian response in those of us who grew up with Steven Spielberg’s films, and it’s pretty clear that “Super 8” will serve as an homage to his most beloved tales, with some signature J.J. Abrams action thrown in for good measure.
